This is wonderful, so much larger and more open than ours here. I was invited to read at four different venues and was received very well, it really does do something for ones confidence. Met all kinds of people, many singers and musicians as well as writers.
It was so good to be among like minded people with a passion to write, it kind of made me understand I am not alone, and should just keep on going. I have the feeling that for me being in Baltimore full time is what would work best for me and my writing, it is such a mixed place, with a varied eclectic mix of people and cultures, and is so laid back.
It was so good to hear other writers reading their work, how they had written it and not how we when we read it perceive it to be, there is a vast difference.
So I now have to put my head down and complete Poetry from Baltimore. vol 2, as well as look for a lucrative outlet for my writing.

I think the expression we are looking for is:-
ReplyDeleteHOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS.
I've heard it it so many times from the elderley "It's no fun getting old" RUBBISH!
LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT!
I'm 62yrs young.I relate to all ages, from my little gang of youngsters, here where l live,to the elderly.Old Age,are two words that DO NOT appear in MY vocabulary, such as it is?
I love my music, when everyone was growing up in the 60's with the Beatles and Rolling Stones,l took to Motown, and never looked back.I spent three months,'Back in the World'(America).Down South, and l mean DOWN SOUTH.This enhanced my love further, for the music, that to this day l enjoy.Soul,R&B,Hip-Hop,Urban and all that goes with it.Oh! and l STILL,enjoy clubs/disco's,and 'Gett'in On Down'.
I'm a good dancer,l used to be very good, used to teach, and choreographed quite a few shows.
I,then moved on in life, married in 73,1973?, became a single parent in 1983,and raised my daughter,on my own,for 13yrs.Now!that was a whole new experience, but l won't have changed it for the world. My daughter is 33 now,and still my babe,we are very close,l'd give my life for her,and coming from a Sicilian, you can believe it.
I love life,l love people,nice people.
The point is, good or bad,l have always, let my heart rule my head.If you feel,it's the right thing to do,it's burning up inside, your gut hurts,to HELL with it,get on and do it.What ever turns you on!
Life is a COIN.........................
you can Spend it anyway you Wish.......
But,you can only Spend it..............
Once........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And remember......
When you have everything, what could you pssibly desire?.............................
The one you Love the most!!!!!!!
Thankyou,l am really in love with this blog, don't think l've enjoyed reading anything with so much feeling, for a long time now. But then l'm 90% Sicilian, sorry Dad. Not only do l have my lemon tea but a box of tissues as well.Love It.Great Stuff.
