I am so sorry to be absent nyet again, but away, looking after grandson with Chickenpox, whilst Mum away having a break. Will post something over weekend whilst Daddy has Tommy.
I am 58 years young. I have a daughter of 28 and a beautiful grandson Tommy, just 3 years old.
I am a Jill of all trades and mistress of none: much of my life has been involved with children one way or another, from nursery class, being a nanny, and running fun days for kids in deprived areas, to teaching and leading Sunday School – in all I just love kids.
It worries me that many parents do not have time in this busy world to sit and read with their children and that in turn prevents good healthy dialogue on issue’s that come about in all walks of life.
I have always had a great love of books and reading, right across the spectrum, from Tolkien to Pratchett, with so many in between. I have always wanted to write a book for children, and now am fortunate to be able to do so.
Children bring out the very best and sometimes the very worst of us, and in turn we should be attempting to provide the very best for them, allowing them access to a very safe world to allow their minds to roam free, and to challenge their ideas, getting them to look at different ways to approach things.
