Forgive my lack of posting yesterday, but life has the unfortunate habit of sometimes going a different way to how one believes it will, however here I am back today.
Excited, why I hear you asking, well, I am returning to Baltimore later this month, flights booked, so I will experience an American Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year with my man, the first in 33 years, bliss.
The other really exciting thing is being there at a totally opposite season to my summer trip, so watch out for 'Postcards from Baltimore' 2 from a Winter perspective. Somehow, I can always write so productively there, and see things I would maybe not notice here.
My countdown to leaving has begun, now 19 days.

- I am 58 years young. I have a daughter of 28 and a beautiful grandson Tommy, just 3 years old. I am a Jill of all trades and mistress of none: much of my life has been involved with children one way or another, from nursery class, being a nanny, and running fun days for kids in deprived areas, to teaching and leading Sunday School – in all I just love kids. It worries me that many parents do not have time in this busy world to sit and read with their children and that in turn prevents good healthy dialogue on issue’s that come about in all walks of life. I have always had a great love of books and reading, right across the spectrum, from Tolkien to Pratchett, with so many in between. I have always wanted to write a book for children, and now am fortunate to be able to do so. Children bring out the very best and sometimes the very worst of us, and in turn we should be attempting to provide the very best for them, allowing them access to a very safe world to allow their minds to roam free, and to challenge their ideas, getting them to look at different ways to approach things.
